Tentulia Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sohag Chandra Saha told banglanews that many people are suffering due to lack of accommodation and hotel facilities for tourists. We have already taken various steps by the upazila administration to reduce this suffering.

The distance from Banglabandha Union (land port) of Tentulia in Panchagarh, the northernmost district of Bangladesh, is 61 km to Nepal, 74 km to Bhutan, 200 km to China, 58 km to Darjeeling in India and 6 km to Siliguri. On the other hand, the distance to the summit of Everest in the Himalayas is 65 km and the distance to Kanchenjunga is 11 km. But when you look to the north-west of the cloudless sky, you can see the snow-capped white mountain Kanchenjunga. Although it is seen in the beginning or middle of November every year, due to the clear sky, on the morning of October 29 (Thursday), a spectacular view of Kanchenjunga was suddenly seen.
