State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said that the government headed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has decided to provide mid-day meal supply program to all primary schools to reduce the dropout of the students.

The State Minister said that the government has given priority to primary education as the most urgent step to liberate the country from illiteracy. Not only this, at any stage, the foundation of higher education is created in this primary school.

The State Minister said this while addressing the inauguration of lunch supply program at Sarda Government Primary School in Charghat upazila on Saturday. Praising the initiative of the locals in this endeavor, call for good and beneficial people to come forward for the mid-day meal supply program in other schools.

Presided over by Chairman of School Management Committee Kazi Mahmudul Hassan, Upazila Executive Officer Ashraful Islam, Education Officer Mir Mamunur Rahman and Assistant Education Officer Roji Khandker addressed the function.

State Minister Shahriar Alam said that in order to create skilled human resources as well as to increase sustainable development goals, the standard and the range of education should be increased and enriched.
